English Hearts 1 The Summer House (1)

Ashby Sterling-Haynes, the youngest son of a titled family, has had a lot of hook ups, but he’s never found the one. When he meets Connor he realises this could be the one he’s been waiting for.
Veterinarian, Connor Lawson is much happier working with animals than with people. Ashby is all kinds of dangerous. He’s too hot, too rich, too titled, and way too sexy for his own good.
Both men refuse to believe in love for different reasons. Until they meet each other and a future together becomes real… if only they can both take a chance.

Me: If you could be handcuffed to one person for 24 hours, who would it be?
RJ: My daughter, then we could go one handed shopping and watch Ex on the beach. ROFL… however, if it was a fictional character then Riley from Heart Of Texas.

Me: What book would you like to have written?
RJ: The SPECTR series from Jordan L Hawk. I don’t have a longer answer, I just love that series so much. I think it is the utter uniquness of the story, and the perfect characterisation. MM and MMM and just so much love. 🙂

Me: Tell us a secret fact about The Summer House?
RJ: A secret? This book did not want to stop. It was supposed to be a 50,000 word book, then it became 55, then 60, and now it will be over 65, and is the longest book I’ve written since Crooked Tree Ranch.

Me: If someone made a movie of your life, who would play you?
RJ: Dawn French:) If you are outside the UK you may not know who this is, but she is a *larger lady* like me, and has a wonderful presence on screen – I think she may even make me a little bit funny…

Me: Which inspires you the most – people or nature?
RJ: That is a really hard question. I guess, people inspire my storylines, but nature gives me the beauty to be at peace to write and get my ideas in order 🙂

I would like to thank R J Scott for taking the time to answer my questions and agreeing to be featured on Male Monday 🙂

About the Author

RJ Scott has been writing since age six, when she was made to stay in at lunchtime for an infraction involving cookies. She was told to write a story and two sides of paper about a trapped princess later, a lover of writing was born.
As an avid reader herself, she can be found reading anything from thrillers to sci-fi to horror. However, her first real true love will always be the world of romance where she takes cowboys, bodyguards, firemen and billionaires (to name a few) and writes dramatic and romantic stories of love and passion between these men.
With over seventy titles to her name and counting, she is the author of the award winning book, The Christmas Throwaway. She is also known for the Texas series charting the lives of Riley and Jack, and the Sanctuary series following the work of the Sanctuary Foundation and the people it protects.
Her goal is to write stories with a heart of romance, a troubled road to reach happiness, and most importantly, that hint of a happily ever after.
