BLURB

Have you tasted fear? I have. It’s bitter and lingers in your mouth long after the moment has passed. That fear kept me alive during the apocalypse. I never stopped moving, and I never gave up hope.
The outbreak is over and vaccinations have been administered, but I’m tasting that fear again. Why? Because the undead have returned, and this time there’s no stopping them or the people who control them. But I refuse to give up.
The outbreak might be over, but the nightmare is just beginning.

BLURB

The outbreak might be over, but the nightmare is just beginning…
Rebekah vows to expose the truth behind the RecruitZ that are killing the innocents. These creatures must be stopped, but so should the people controlling them. When Rebekah uncovers who is behind the uprisings, her own life becomes in danger.
Rebekah knows that she is not alone in this fight but vengeance alone won’t help her and the others to victory. It is up to her to uncover the truth for the public before the world is turned over to an elite few.
Regardless of what may happen to her, she knows it’s a race against time to destroy these creatures and the monsters controlling them before there is no one left worth saving.

Review
Whereas Recruitz was about fear, Alibiz is about control. An unknown organization is behind the methodical manipulation of rogue zombies and modifieds, directing them to kill innocent civilians and overturn governing bodies.
However, Rebekah and Preston are still leading the rebel group, trying to discover who is behind these attacks despite having a bounty placed on their heads.
Karice Bolton’s writing is fluid and each turn of the page brings more questions and suspense. The Afterworld is a violent one and even the safety of the protagonists is not guaranteed.
Amidst the conspiracy theories and uncertainty Karice Bolton takes the time to allow the development of characters we have met previously, though in particular, Rebekah and Preston. Rebekah is still haunted by her husband’s death and her grief is compounded by the situations she finds herself in and new information she discovers about hos research. We know that moving on is not easy for her, despite Preston’s obvious adoration, but we begin to hope for that moment when their relationship will become more than flirting.
In Recruitz Preston was an enigma: a fighter, a protector, definitely sexy, but aside from the information about his sister I wanted to know more. In Alibiz Karice Bolton gives the reader the opportunity to do this, but perhaps not in the way we expected.
Alibiz is even better than its prequel and Karice Bolton has produced a much more sophisticated and complex zombie story. I am eager to enter the Afterworld again!
